BUILDING A TRANS-GENERATIONAL LEGACY

What we do today determines our outcome tomorrow. Are you building the future of your life on Christ the solid Rock?

As a parent or intending parent, are you training up your children in the way of the Lord, or preparing the platform for raising God-fearing children who will not compromise their stance but commit themselves wholly to God’s plans and purposes?

The world will read through your children (whether your biological children or spiritual children) and conclude what manner of father or mother you had been. They are the letters you send into the future...

‘As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth’ (Psalm 127:4).

The shooting of the arrows represents the raising and deployment of sons into the world for the furtherance of the Gospel of the Kingdom…

The process of raising sons (ambassadors/disciples) for Christ must be done persistently and consistently. The continuity of such is what makes the Church of God to become the ground and pillar of the truth…

The mandate is to possess the gates of the enemy (Gen. 22:17).

What spiritual investment are you making into your children today?

Behold, I and the children whom the LORD has given me are for signs and wonders in Israel… Isaiah 8:18

‘But if you refuse to serve the LORD, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD’ Joshua 24:15

Let’s quickly examine three people who successfully built trans-generational values (legacies):

Abraham – Genesis 18:17-19; Genesis 24; Hebrews 11:9
Jonadab – Jeremiah 35
Luis – 2 Timothy 1:5

How can I build or sustain transgenerational legacy?

Give yourself wholly to Godly virtues and values. 1 Timothy 4:12-15
Learn, receive, hear, see and do… Phil. 4:9
Learn these values, cultivate them and pass them on to others. 2 Timothy 2:2
Endure hardness (embrace the force of discipline). 2 Timothy 2:3
Psalm 112:1-3.
