ACTIVATING GOD’S FAVOUR – SEEING THE BIG PICTURE

The activation of divine favour upon your life depends to a large extent on your perception. What do you see? (Jeremiah 1:11-12).
Until your perception changes, your situation will not change.
Maximizing destiny is a function of how well I can see. Many people see, yet they cannot perceive (Matt. 13:13).

Different people view life from different perspectives, but the ‘big picture’ perspective entails seeing just as God sees…

The ‘big picture’ perspective enables you to see life in a broader view, knowing that it’s not all about you and your needs… it equips you with a sense of responsibility towards life (John 21:15-17).

The ‘big picture’ perspective allows you to grow (mature) in the Spirit, into the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13).

It allows you to persevere in the time of tribulation and to endure the season of trial (Heb. 12:2; Romans 8:17-18; 2 Cor. 4:17-18).

What do you see?

Your sight is a function of your focus (Isaiah 26:3).
What do you look at? (Gen. 13:14-16).
Do you focus your attention on the Word of God or on people’s opinion? (Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:2; James 1:25).
Furthermore, your sight is a function of your location or positioning.
If you are not dwelling in the God-assigned location, your sense of vision becomes blurry (Gen. 15:1-6).
In Genesis 28, Jacob had a dream and that changed the course of his life forever. He knew that that was more to his life than just living a life of mediocrity. I strongly believe that the picture he saw in the dream kept coming back to him throughout the years he stayed in Laban’s house.

He knew beyond reasonable doubts that God would do something great in his life, and more importantly, his lineage and descendants would become a source of blessing to the world…
‘But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord’ (2 Cor. 3:18).
Few tips on how to enhance your spiritual sight:
Check the company you keep (Psalm 1:1).
Ensure you keep the right company (association). Show me your friend and I will know who you are… By-pass the ‘fire extinguishers’. Be a companion of those who fear the LORD (Psalm 119:63).
Enlarge your heart (Isaiah 54:2, Psalm 119:32).
Widen your scope! Broaden your horizon! Think big! Don’t limit God…
ACT on the Word! (James 1:25).
You have listened to many messages. You have heard many testimonies. You have prayed and trusted God for long… It’s time to take God by His Word. ACT!

The Word works wonders! Receive grace to be a doer of the Word!
