AND THE LORD REMEMBERED...

God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent, has He said and will He not do? Or has He spoken and will He not make it good?’ (Numbers 23:19).

The word ‘remember’ here probably suggests to us that God might have forgotten His promises before and perhaps His memory suddenly gets recalled to the promises He made earlier.

The truth is that, when God ‘remembers’ you, it means the time ordained by the Lord for your visitation has come (Psalm 102:13).

It’s one thing for God to remember you, it’s also important for you to be in tune with God’s timing. Many folks miss the blessing of God (some even resist it) because they are never conscious of the time of visitation.

I pray, the Lord will enlighten our spiritual eyes of understanding!

Let’s take a look at some of the people that the Lord God remembered:

Abraham
God remembered His friend, Abraham when He wanted to destroy the city of Sodom and Gomorrah. This implies that Lot and his family were spared because of Abraham’s covenant relationship with God (Gen. 19:29).

Rachael
The Lord remembered Rachael, opened her womb. She conceived and brought forth a son, saying ‘the LORD has taken away my reproach…’. Moreover, she called his name ‘Joseph’. This was a prophetic declaration which meant ‘the LORD shall add to me another son’ (Gen. 30:22-24).

Hannah
The Lord remembered Hannah and she conceived, and bore a son (…in the process of time) – 1 Sam. 1:19-20.

Mordecai
The Lord remembered Mordecai for good. By divine orchestration, this happened around the same time that Haman ordered to gallows to be built for Mordecai. Through the mercies of God, the situation was turned around (Esther 5:14; 6:1-11).

Has the Lord made any promise concerning you? Hold on to His Word! He is not unjust… Not a single jot of His Word will go without being fulfilled…

The Lord will remember you for good!
