Psalm 133:1-3
Zion
was one of the eminences on which the city of Jerusalem was built. In the Old
Testament, it was used to denote the dwelling place of God (Psalm 9:11;
48:1-3).
In the New Testament, it represents the church of the living God (Heb. 12:22-23).
When
the church of God lives truly as the pillar and ground of the truth (1 Tim.
3:16), we release the fragrance of the joy of the Lord to the world around us…
Brethren! It is time for us to step into our calling as the proclaimers of God’s glory to the world around us.
Brethren! It is time for us to step into our calling as the proclaimers of God’s glory to the world around us.
Zion
is the depository base of the Word of God (Isaiah 2:2; Micah 4:2).
Zion is a place of heartfelt worship and praise (Psalm 102:21).
Furthermore, it’s called the beauty of perfection (Psalm 50:2).
It’s a place of deliverance, holiness and possession of one’s God-given inheritance.
In Zion, there is an ever consistent supply of the water of life (Psalm 46:4). The waters thereof never run dry. The oil of gladness never ceases…
I’d rather dwell in Zion!

SOME OF THE THINGS TO NOTE IN PSALM 133
ZION IS A PLACE OF UNITY.
It’s a dwelling place whereby the spirit of oneness abounds. In Zion, they don’t just co-exist or cohabit, they dwell together in unity.
Individualism cannot thrive in Zion. Self-centredness cannot thrive in such a place, because its prevailing value system revolves around the advancement of God’s kingdom (Ephesians 4:1-6).
One heart… (1 Chron. 12:38), one voice, one accord… (Acts 4:24).
IT’S A PLACE WHERE THE ANOINTING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT FLOWS.
The anointing here, flows from Christ, the Head of the church, even to the body of Christ, which is the church of the living God (Acts 10:38; John 20:21; Acts 2:1-4). This was prefigured in the Old Testament, under the Levitical order, in which the Aaronic priesthood was instituted.
God told Moses to anoint and consecrate Aaron and his sons, that they might minister unto Him as priests (Exodus 30:25, 30).
Precious ointment indeed… The light never goes out, the lamps never stop burning… they don’t experience burnouts, because they depend on divine supplies (Eccl. 9:8; Matt. 25:4).
GOD
COMMANDS THE BLESSING OF ‘OVERFLOW’ THEREIN.
People step into the fullness of God’s blessing. The blessing of divine presence is released for supernatural manifestations… (Psalm 128:5).
For there, the LORD commanded the blessing, even life forevermore (eternal life). Psalm 133:3.
